Excellent drills, very detailed videos. Useful site for my U15 boys team.
Last season we played a couple of teams with a Star player in a key position who ran the game for their side. Any tips on how to stop this sort of team. Especially with many teams these days having a player/coach who is ex-national league this is happening more and more. We played 3 teams last season, 2 with a Star sweeper and another with a Star centre-half. How can we stop them playing and still play our game?
in the open play short corner i thought that one 5 players are around circle that all others had to be back on half way line

When defending a free hit, in our attacking half of the field, that is close to the sideline, is it best to take away movement to the center of the field or the sideline. I am playing a system with strength in the middle and most teams seem to be faster than we are? How does this adapt to the self-pass?
I really struggle to make practice fun and useful for the GKs. My attention is naturally focussed on the outfield players, meaning most of the time I simply have drills finishing with a shot on goal to keep the GK involved. Pretty boring for them. Any ideas how I can involve them more? Thanks, Charlie
I have a squad of about 22 men who play at a pretty high level. However we only have the use of half a field as we share the astro with others. Not ideal. Need some advice to keep everyone busy and interested. Do I split the guys into 4 or 5 stations and rotate them? If so, what stations would you recommend and how long at each station? Your advice on this would be appreciated a.s.a.p. Thank you
Please can you explain the difference in the full court press press and the half court press

Who can help me to develop a tool to manage the substitutional players during a match? I manage a team of 15 girls of 12-14 years old with different levels of hockey experience. To arrange the substitutes is quite complicated and I am searching for a helpful tool.
the opposition is now playing with 1 goalie, 2 d, 4 mid and 4 forwards it just seems they are everywhere and my mid field can not deal with the extra player. I was going to counter with a 1-4-4-2 but the girls are not used to it. we play a 1-4-3-3.
