How do I teach junior players how to play corridors
this is always a tough skill to teach, and this question has been asked and answered a number of times on here. if you need a pretty quick answer have a search in previous questions.
but the drill i prefer is to mark out corridors on the court and give them all an area. and then do a drill where they are only allowed to have a certain number of players in each corridor. so if one person crosses over into a corridor then someone else must run into her area. it is a long process, and in games they will forget and go back to what they know. just keep reminding them.
i also try and encourage my WA to only go as far as the center circle when the ball is down the oppisition goal third and the GA to only go as far as the transverse line in our goal third. that way they arent crowding the other end of the court if there is a turn over.
good luck as this one has tested all of our patience. but with perserverence they will get it.
